Q: Who typically goes to an MFT counseling session? 
A: Any adult or child of any age, couples of any age, or entire family units.

Q: How often am I expected to attend MFT counseling? 
A: The frequency of the counseling sessions is entirely decided upon by the clients.  Typically, sessions begin weekly and then adjust frequency depending on progress and needs.

Q: What does a typical MFT counseling session include? 
A: A typical counseling session is an interactive session (50 minutes) which includes discussion between client and MFT regarding current situation and challenges.

Q: Is an MFT counseling session confidential? 
A: All Marriage and Family Therapists are legally and ethically bound to complete confidentiality in all aspects of counseling, thus, no information shared in a session will ever be exposed or shared at another time or place for any reason.

Q: Does insurance cover MFT counseling? 
A: Check with your insurance company for counseling benefits.  Many insurance companies do cover counseling.  Currently, Therapeutic Solutions does take selected insurance including Blue Shield and Blue Cross.
